NDDP helps people with a long term health
problem or disability find lasting employment that matches their
skills and experience.
New Deal for Disabled
People (NDDP) matches individual skills with individual jobs. With
NDDP we deliver an independent, voluntary and free service for
both jobseekers and employers.
Our aim is to
help job seekers find lasting employment and to help employers fill
vacancies with suitable candidates.
With NDDP, job seekers achieve considerable success, finding
lasting employment - we find work for 63% within 6 weeks. The right
jobs too, as 80% are still employed when they complete the
programme.
A Papworth Trust Employment Adviser will work on a one
to one basis with Jobseekers and provide support until employment
has been sustained for six months.Together they will put together a
development plan looking at initial skills and experience, the need
for training, job search and interview techniques, and support when
first entering employment.

Qualifying
criteria
To qualify you must be:
- looking to work for more than 8 hours per week
- claiming a health related benefit - Incapacity Benefit, DLA,
SDA, Income Support with disability premium etc.
- and you must not be claiming JSA - jobseekers allowance.
